Schoology: A formal review

This school year Green Run students are using a new online learning system called Schooolgy. Last year, most teachers used Google Classroom to communicate with their students and both parties viewed it as a success. Now that Schoology is seemingly here to stay, everyone seems to have a different opinion concerning its usefulness.

I think Schoology is like any other platform, in that the more you use it, the easier it is to use. In addition, it offers more resources and gives teachers and students the ability to customize various features. I also think that the layout is user friendly, and the overall design is very similar to Facebook.

However, whether it be student or staff, "Schoology might be more frustrating to use, because you are new to it. At the end of the day, Schoology offers more resources, especially in areas of assessments.” Said Mr. Tarkenton.

“All things considered, you are not required to abandon Google Classroom, so if a teacher has a lot of resources in their Google Classroom, then they can still have students access it from there. Google Classroom is still accessible, but Schoology offers more resources.” Said Mr. Tarkenton.
