Frenzy in Philadelphia
After the Philadelphia Eagles won their first Super Bowl, Philadelphians took it a bit to far and vandalized their city. The Philadelphia Eagles have been a very efficient playoff team until Super Bowl LII, when they won the Super Bowl. The fans took it to the extreme and trashed the city by littering everywhere flipping cars and even destroying a Sunoco to “celebrate”. In total 76 people were arrested. On one side of city hall nearly all of the light poles had been toppled over during the “celebration”. There was also a small fire lit in the middle of the street by the fans which had to be extinguished by firefighters later that night. Luckily, only one person was seriously injured throughout these "celebrations”. Even though they completely destroyed the city, some good has come out of it. After the destruction, the city workers were up at 6 A.M. the next morning cleaning it right back up. The Super Bowl victory brought the city closer to each other, kids are recreating crucial plays to the victory just blocks away from Lincoln Financial Field. Dwight Woods, of North Philly said “I don’t think there’d be this many people if Jesus came back, Eagles fans have been waiting for a very long time, man.
