Snow Day Survey
Like other holidays, we shouldn’t come to school on Presidents’ Day. The purpose of Presidents’ Day is to celebrate the American Presidency and remember those who served as President of the United States, especially George Washington, the first president of the United States; it is a day to celebrate all U.S presidents past and present. The Federal Government also calls this day “Washington’s Birthday.” This day is celebrated on the third Monday of February because it is to honor George Washington’s birthday but his birthday is originally on February twenty-two. Presidents’ Day is part of the Monday Act Holiday to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s worker. So we shouldn’t go to school on Presidents’ Day. Not only because it’s Presidents’ Day, but because all students, teachers and staff members should take a three-day break from school and just relax for a little.
