Opening of the 100 Hallway

Addressing the crowding in Green Run's hallways, the Cafe Foyer path of the 100 Hallway was opened.

With the unveiling of this new path, there's several questions posed involving student ability, and building security. For example, as new pathways revealed, students found new ways to navigate around the school building more freely, which in turn poses more security risks as more pathways stressed a need for a stricter security.

On the stance of the student, opening new pathways allows us to avoid the inevitable crowding of the hallways. This allows us freedom in movement, and opens new possibilities such as the opening of other pathways, or maybe even a completely open building. It gives students not only an option to choose their route, but to propose and petition new routes, granting us student voice.

On the stance of security, this results in a bigger strain to maintain security as the field of view widens with more routes. Staff will be spread out more to cover the new pathways, and should the idea of an open school building be tried, security will be put constantly at work to maintain a safe school environment.

Currently, most students have no opinion on the opening of the Cafe Foyer path. Despite advertisement runs, several students are unfamiliar with the new path opening. No comment has been provided by staff, aside from a sign restricting students from using said pathway during One Lunch.
